Through WUMB-FM, you will meet and work with people who bring their talents and enthusiasm to their work as volunteers. Our volunteer and student cadre include high school, undergraduate and graduate students; teachers; office workers; doctors; executives; lawyers; retirees; carpenters; and everything in-between.

Though our volunteers, interns and UMass Boston work-study students come from different backgrounds and are pursuing different goals, they have in common an interest in, and appreciation of public radio and what we do here at WUMB-FM.

The radio station could not exist without our volunteers. We organize over 300 volunteers for the Boston Folk Festival alone, and scores of other volunteers help in different capacities.
