Welcome to 2013! This is always an exciting time for music lovers because a new year represents new possibilities. Right now it’s usually too early to know what will be in store for the new year and who will be releasing new records but there’s definitely a few that we know of! Richard Thompson is back with a new studio album called Electric that was recorded over a four day period at Buddy Miller’s studio. WUMB is already playing a new track from this album that will be out on February 5th. Kelly Willis and Bruce Robison have recorded their first full length album (minus the Christmas one they did) together called Cheater’s Game which is out on February 12th. It’s a really fun record with some pretty unique covers but I think this album shines on the songs that Bruce wrote. He’s an incredible songwriter and this album will prove it! Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell are teaming up for a new album called Old Yellow Moon coming out on February 26th and Josh Ritter’s new album The Beast In Its Tracks will be available on March 5th. So, there’s a lot to look forward to in the next few months! I can’t tell you much about them, but we have some fantastic Member Concert’s in the works as well!
