WUMB January Program Guide

Folk Tales with Scott Alarik

Folk Tales with Scott Alarik

Wherever you are as you’re reading this…I hope you’re doing well and enjoying Autumn officially!  The Summer has been so busy around WUMB for many reasons, and one of them is finally coming to fruition this Saturday!  Folk Tales with Scott Alarik premieres on September 24th at 7am.

WUMB has and will always be focused on sharing our love of all things Folk/Roots and this show will focus on those connections.  “Why is Pete Seeger still important?”, “Who was Bessie Smith?”, and “Was Robert Johnson really that influential?”.  These types of questions and of course many, many more will be answered during this show. Scott Alarik brings an immense wealth of knowledge and passion to Folk music which I think you’ll enjoy very much.  This is the kind of Programming that we’ve been able to add because of your generous support.  Two years ago we weren’t in a position to create a locally produced 1 hour show that airs every week.  Now we can do this because of your support.

We have our upcoming Fall Fundraiser starting on October 14th.  If you’re a sustaining Member of WUMB, thank you!  If you haven’t made your yearly donation yet I’m encouraging  you to do so now.  WUMB will continue to grow and be able to do bigger and better things with your support….thank you!

And with that look for a few more very big announcements before the end of the year.

All the best,

Jay Moberg

WUMB Music & Program Director
