WUMB November Program Guide

From the Desk of the Programming Director

Here we are into March with the prospect of Winter being in the rear view mirror and Spring just in front of us.  I hope you’re doing well, and thanks for taking the time to read the Program Guide for March.

A few things on the top of my mind….

Our Spring Fundraiser starts on March 9th.  I know many of you have gotten your pledges in already and if you’ve done so…thank you!  If not, you can do so by calling us during business hours at 617-287-6900 or you can wait for the Fundraiser to start and call 1-800-573-2100.

We have a very special day planned on Thursday, March 8th as we celebrate International Women’s Day at WUMB.  From 6am-10pm we’ll be playing nothing but the women who paved the way along with artists currently making amazing music.  It’s going to be a special day and I hope you can join us!

I’ve received a lot of feedback regarding the airing of shows like Mountain Stage, American Routes and Folk Tales during the week.  If you like it, or don’t like…let me know!

Our new monthly feature called One Year at a Time with Tai Irwin will premiere in March!   We’re working on a date but it will tackle the year 1964.  Keep it tuned to WUMB or check our social media and website for details.

Our 3rd Thursday Concert Series is happening on Thursday, March 15th with the band Soulsha.  They’re an incredible band that mix Celtic Music with sounds from Africa as well so this should be interesting!  You can tune in live starting at 6pm but WUMB Members get 50% savings if you want to go live.

Michelle Briand hosts our Nighttime show and she will return on Friday, March 9th

With that we have a lot of great things percolating behind the scenes here at WUMB which we’ll be sharing with you in the months to come.  Lots of great Programming, Concerts, In Studio Performances and more are all in the works.

Thank you as always for listening and supporting WUMB!
