WUMB December Program Guide

From the Desk of the Programming Director

Thank you!

I wanted to take a quick moment and truly thank each of you who took the time to donate during our recent Fall Member Drive. I’m continuously amazed at the number of listeners who in turn support the station. You hear lots of other Public Radio stations talk about Listener Support and how crucial it is…but I assure you it’s the most important thing at WUMB. All we can say is that we’re humbled, and thank you once again!

Some great stuff in the world of Programming to attend to……

We’re finalizing the details as we speak to welcome Jim Lauderdale back in the WUMB studios this Friday. It’s not 100% confirmed at this point so we may get a last minute note about travel plans or something like that, but as of this writing Jim should be in studio on Friday. He’s amazing and I hope you tune in!

Many of you have asked and I’m happy to announce that Folk Tales has a 2nd airing….Sunday evenings at 7pm.

Tickets are available for our next 3rd Thursday Concert Series at The Burren happening 11/15 with special Guest Greg Klyma. If you just signed up as a Member of WUMB,  you get your ticket at 50% savings!

Again, not confirmed but looks like we’ll be recording and playing back the big Richard Thompson show that’s happening in Boston on 11/14. We’d be playing it back at a different date but be on the lookout for that!

Hopefully in the next few weeks we’ll be able to tell you more about two new additions here at WUMB. Mum’s the word for now 😊

Stay warm, and thank you once again for listening and for supporting WUMB!
