Mid-Winter Doldrums?  No Way!

Friends, I have so much good music to share it’s coming out of my ears (pun intended.)  This month will really show it all… from the entire breadth of the 20th Century… I mean, DeFord Bailey (the first African American on the Grand Ol’ Opry), Uncle Dave Macon, Charlie Poole, the original Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, just to name a few representing the 1920’s.  Remember, commercial radio and recordings didn’t even START till the 20’s… LESS than 100 years ago.  Weird, right?  Now you can download anything from the internet just about… but who’s going to curate it all into a fun and interesting format each week??  Me!  Read More…

In true 21st century style I came across a short smart phone video (uploaded to YouKnow where) of a guy noodling/fingerpicking blues tunes on one of the guitars I’m investigating. His name is Peter Keane. Have you heard of him or his music? Read More…
