WUMB November Program Guide

SAMW Week 1 Has Something For Everyone

WUMB’s Summer Acoustic Music Camps offer folk and acoustic music lovers a uniquely wide range of instrumental, vocal, performance and songwriting instruction, geared to all skill levels.

At this year’s Week 1, taking place July 14 – 20, in addition to classes covering many aspects of guitar and vocal techniques, performance, and songwriting you can spend a week getting started with or better at mandolin, fiddle, or Appalachian dulcimer!  You can dive deep into the specific musical styles of Rev. Gary Davis or Merle Travis, expand your repertoire of classic country songs and country & roots guitar licks, or just immerse yourself in songs that do political and social work in the world.

Plus jams, song circles, workshops, concerts, open mikes, dances and much more — all in a beautiful setting on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee.  For full details on classes, instructors, accommodations and fees and to register online, visit the SAMW website, email samw@umd.edu, or call 617-287-6915.  But don’t delay; our August week has already sold out and spaces for Week 1 are filling up!

Spend a week making the music you love with friends who love it, too!  We look forward to seeing you at camp!
