WUMB May Program Guide

August Is Blues Festivals Month!

August is the primary month for Blues festivals here in New England. It’s a great time to eat some fun food, gather with the family, taste some libations and of course hear some amazing music. It’s also a perfect showcase for both local talent and national acts that come directly to you….While I can’t mention everyone, here are a couple of spotlighted national bands coming through New England to look out for this month. Most information will be on our website-wumb.org then go to our Concert Calendar.

Mr. Johnny Rawls criss-crosses the country bringing us his style Southern Soul and charm. Kat Riggins & Blues Revival do not come through often. She’s is a true Blues songstress whose worldly mission is to keep the Blues alive. Li’l Ed & the Blues Imperials love New England and we love them. JB. Hutto’s nephew is always in full form with his wild brand of Chicago Blues. These are just a drop of the good stuff coming our way. All are KBA (Keepin’ the Blues Alive), award winners. I will be playing all their music during the month on Spinning the Blues, Saturday nights starting at 6.

Thanks for tuning in,

~ Holly
