WUMB January Program Guide

Happy October!

Here are some news/notes from the world of Programming!

First off I’d like to thank you for your continued support of WUMB. As I’m sure you know our Fall Fundraiser is coming up quickly and our sights are set on the largest goal we’ve ever had at WUMB of $205,000. Over 80% of everything that it takes to keep WUMB on the air comes from individual contributions, not large ones from Corporate Underwriting. With that, I’m asking you directly to get your pledge in early if possible! We’ve got a pretty cool WUMB 2020 Calendar as a special thank you gift if you can contribute before October 18th. Thank you…we really do appreciate all of your support!

Some notes:

I hope you can join us for our next 3rd Thursday Concert Series on Thursday, October 17th with special guests The Wolff Sisters. They have a brand new album that has just been released so they’ll have new music to play for you! It’s always a good reminder that WUMB Members get 50% off their ticket purchase. Just go to The Burren’s website or the front page of WUMB’s website for access.

Thank you to our Members who attended the Barrence Whitfield Member Show on September 28th! If you’re a WUMB Member you’ll be receiving word very shortly about our next event on October 19th.  We’ll also have word on our next Hootenanny Member Show with Folk Tales Host Scott Alarik taking place later in November.

We’ve had some great live sessions recently with artists like Mary Gauthier, Ian Noe, Session Americana, Iris Dement, Ellis Paul and many more. We’re in the process of getting those archived for you! We have more live in studio sessions coming up later in October and into November with guests like Maya DeVitry, Anna Tivel, The Small Glories and more.

If you’re into the Blues there’s only a few spots left in the WUMB Blues Camp taking place November 8th-10th with instructors like Hubby Jenkins, Phil Wiggins, Miss Tess, Martin Grosswendt and more. You can find all the details on our website!

Thank you once again for your continued support of WUMB!
