WUMB December Program Guide

Rock ’n’ Roll TV’s Greatest Moment!

Another year has ended as well as, in this case, a decade and 56 years later we still celebrate the day The Beatles arrived in America in February, 1964.

But the hysteria began to really seep into the heads of the youth of America, myself included, in January, 1964!

“I Want To Hold Your Hand” was # 1 on the charts! It could be heard at any given time on the radio as well as several times an hour on multiple Boston radio stations!

“I Want To Hold Your Hand” was everywhere, and we loved it!

But we really needed to see The Beatles as well as hear them perform, and The Ed Sullivan Show was the perfect place to do just that. 73 million other kids agreed, and life was never the same again!

We’ll relive those moments in the weeks to come on Breakfast With The Beatles on WUMB 91.9 FM.

Perhaps you’re a first-generation Beatles fan and watched it with your family as I did back then! Or perhaps your parents and grandparents were there, and it would be years later that you were born.

Whatever the case may be, take the journey with us and relive what is perhaps the greatest moment in rock’n’roll history; The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show!
