WUMB May Program Guide

Welcome to March

As our Spring Fundraiser is approaching, I’d like to take a moment and thank you for all of your love shown to WUMB whether it’s through a pledge, a phone call, email or just the fact that you’ve listened. We really do appreciate it, and simply can’t do this kind of radio without your generous support. Our Spring Fundraiser starts next week and I’d like to urge you to consider renewing your Membership, making an additional gift or perhaps becoming a Member for the first time yourself. We say it all the time but over 80% of everything that it takes to run WUMB comes from individual contributions from Listeners just like you that in turn become Members. Thanks for your consideration!

Here are some notes from Programming:

Join us for our 3rd Thursday Concert Series at The Burren this month with special Guest Stan Martin. Stan’s been part of the small but amazing group of Musicians keeping Country music (the good kind) alive in Boston. Join him and his band on Thursday March 19th for a great time. If you’re a Member of WUMB your tickets are half off by entering the discount code upon purchase.

We’ve had some great live sessions over the last couple of months and March continues with live sessions from Alastair Moock, The Ballroom Thieves, Mark Erelli, Dave Godowski and more. We have some very cool sessions booked for April as well.

New Music:

Here’s some familiar artists with new releases to check out:
Patty Larkin – Bird in a Cage
Rose Cousins – Bravado
Della Mae – Headlight

Here’s some artists that might be new to you:
Mapache – From Liberty Street
Taylor Ashton – The Romantic
Sweet Lizzy Project – Technicolor

That’s all for now…thanks again for continuing to listen and support WUMB!
