WUMB November Program Guide

Welcome to April!

I hope you and yours are doing well. Here at WUMB we are grateful for the opportunity to try to keep you company, entertained, and informed during these unsettled times. Music has a wonderful way of bringing us together through shared experience, and through celebration of our culture. Music can be catharsis, and it can be a great escape. It can say what we’re feeling, and it can make us feel better. We intend to continue bringing you more music while heading into April, both on The Morning Show and on WUMB as a whole. Thanks for listening and thanks for your support.

Some highlights for April:
The Morning Show will celebrate music history through the month, including birthday and birthday anniversary sets featuring…
Emmylou Harris
Leon Russell
Richard Thompson
Lowell George
Dusty Springfield
Charles Mingus
Glen Campbell
Duke Ellington
and more!

We’ll also continue highlighting the new music that continues to be released this spring. We’re already anticipating new albums from the Indigo Girls, Lucinda Williams, Norah Jones, and David Bromberg. Some of these are already being featured in our playlists and some we can’t wait to share!

The new releases that are making heavy spins in my personal collection this spring are Bonny Light Horseman (featuring Anais Mitchell, Eric D. Johnson, and Josh Kaufman) and the new Nathaniel Rateliff. What are some of your favorites of 2020 so far?

Be well,

~ Brendan
