WUMB June Program Guide

New Music for June!

Happy June everyone! I hope you’ve had a chance to get outside to breathe in some fresh air and feel the sun on your skin. Even in these continuing strange times, we need to remember to enjoy the small things.

I want to say a very big thank you for your support during our 5-day fundraiser. We needed to make up a $55,000 gap in contributions from our shortened March fundraiser and with your amazing help, we did meet that goal. Time and time again you come through and I’m so very touched and grateful that we have you in our corner.

Even though artists can’t tour for the foreseeable future, they are still putting out incredible albums. New music is trickling into the station. If you haven’t caught any of these recent additions yet, keep a close ear, these are really cool!

The Secret SistersSaturn Return
Laura & Lydia Rogers are back with an album produced by Brandi Carlile. Lovely harmonies, smart and introspective songwriting are highlights of this new release.

Jason Isbell & the 400 UnitReunions
I’m really enjoying seeing Jason Isbell continue to work on and celebrate his sobriety. His writing is so honest and raw, full of all the good stuff – anger, compassion, sorrow, love and hope.

Ben Harper – “Don’t Let Me Disappear” (single)
Ben Harper has released a song very appropriate for the times we’re living in. If you’re lucky enough to be quarantining with people you love, listen to this together and appreciate your good fortune

Thank you so much for being a part of the WUMB family, we’re glad you’re with us!
