WUMB September Program Guide

September Programming Update

I hope everyone has had a fun and relaxing (as much as we can these days) Summer. We’ve certainly had a unique few months and I hope the music and programming you’ve been hearing on WUMB has provided you a little escape.

We’ve been busy in the world of Programming so I’d like to provide a little update:

New music continues to come in. Even though artists may not have live performances at the moment they are still releasing terrific new albums. Be on the listen for more!

You may have noticed Sunday Morning Brew Host Rob Hochschild has been off our airwaves over the last couple of months. We have good news – that he is set to return this Fall as the new and permanent host of Guest Mix! New episodes are in the works as we speak and should be set to air in a few weeks. You can hear Guest Mix each Saturday at 1pm.

With Rob being the new Host of Guest Mix we are happy to announce that Perry Persoff will be the permanent Host of our new Sunday Morning program, The SAMW Café. It will be a great blend of acoustic music early on, and transitioning to a mix that will include New Orleans, local music and more. This will also be a great hub of information for all the news regarding all of our WUMB Music Camps.

Lastly our Sunday Morning Public Affairs show Commonwealth Journal has been on hiatus for the last couple of years. With the arrival of UMass Boston’s new Chancellor Marcelo Suarez-Orozco this Fall, we’ll be rebranding a new University-centric show that will be a platform for all things UMass Boston. We’ll begin later this Fall with a multi part series on our new Chancellor.

We’ve got some exciting new Programming beginning this Fall and that has only been possible because of your generous support. Thank you as always for keeping WUMB a unique destination on the radio!
