George has been immersed in music since birth. His dad Joe was a Bluegrass singer and multi-instrumentalist who early on was teaching George guitar and banjo, and bringing him to live shows around New England.

Since his early teens, George has played guitar, bass, and keyboards for a variety of bands around Boston, and he continues to play out with his current band Pablo Palooza.

George has also been a popular radio personality in Boston for twenty years - the majority of that spent hosting mornings on WBOS - and has been part of the WUMB family for the past few. He can be seen on television, specifically on New England Cable News, where he is called on periodically to give music reviews and concert updates.

George is a native of Boston, and received his Bachelor‚s Degree in Communications from UMASS Amherst.

Although he realizes that winter comes with the territory when you‚re a Bostonian, he is decidedly a summer person who considers "on the beach" and "in a convertible" two of his happy places. In his rare periods of spare time, he likes designing graphics on the computer, experimenting in the culinary arts (he‚s a big fan of barbeque), and hopping on his bike when he can.
